But Ms Truss admitted that when it came to the UK’s primary aims to broker new trading arrangements, it would be outside any bespoke deal with the US. And she added: “There isn’t [sic] currently any negotiations taking place with the US and I don’t have an expectation that those are going to start in the short to medium term.”
