Experts have analysed how much drivers might be able to save on fuel
Experts have revealed how drivers could save as much as £400 a year on fuel costs by following one simple piece of advice. Fuel prices have begun to creep down from the height they reached after Russia's invasion of Ukraine last year.
They analysed how much drivers might be able to save by searching for the best offers within a five-mile radius, using apps such as PetrolPrices. They discovered this could help motorists save as much as £25.39 on a tank. This saving, which was in Belfast, saw people drive 3.6 miles from the city centre for cheaper fuel, while drivers in Newcastle could save £14 on a tank. In third place was Coventry, where drivers could pull in savings of £13.94.
