Britney Spears’ ex-husband has been arrested for crashing the site of her wedding just hours before the ceremony, authorities say.
Captain Cameron Henderson of Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said police responded to a trespassing call after 2pm on Thursday.He said Mr Alexander was arrested after officers noticed he had a warrant for his arrest in another county.
Earlier on Thursday, Mr Alexander broadcast a live video from his Instagram account as he approached the event security."Where's Britney at?" Mr Alexander is heard asking a security guard who informs him he has to leave.Mr Alexander then enters the wedding tent, where several empty rows of wooden benches are seen inside.
“She’s my first wife, my only wife,” said Mr Alexander, who was briefly married to Spears — his childhood friend — in 2014.“I’m her first husband,” he continues saying in the video. “I’m here to crash the wedding.”that officers were still investigating the alleged trespassing and would determine if charges would be brought against Mr Alexander.
