Spain's Aemet Met agency have issued an amber weather warning for adverse weather, as the country is whipped by strong winds and thunderstorms.
UK holidaymakers have been warned about thunderstorms and strong gusts currently battering parts of Spain this weekend, including the Balearic Islands.
An amber weather warning has been issued by Spain's Aemet Met agency, as hurricane force winds continued through the night. The agency confirmed that the Tramuntana region and the north and northeast of Mallorca were most likely to be affected. The Met Office on X also issued a warning to holidaymakers heading to the area in the coming days, as they said: "Severe thunderstorms are affecting the Balearic Islands, leading to heavy rain and strong gusty winds".
