The Western Australian Senator, who is not seeking re-election in 2025, took to the witness stand on Monday and said Higgins' claims had taken a toll on her mental and physical health.Higgins was not present in court herself. Higgins, who has about 67,000 followers on Instagram, posted a story featuring the book “How Many More Women?” and the words “pertinent meaning” on Monday afternoon while Senator Reynolds was giving evidence.
Minutes later, Ms Reynolds' lawyer Martin Bennett accused Higgins, who was not present in court, of providing “aggravating” commentary during the proceedings.Mr Bennett said Ms Reynolds' statement of claim would be amended, again, to include “aggravating” commentary.
