Sharing intimate details about her pregnancy for the first time, Ms Higgins said, the baby"had a high probability of a genetic disorder" when a midwife noticed red flags.and I had the scare of our lives after the midwife told us halfway through my second trimester my blood test had raised red flags," she wrote.
Ms Higgins used her own experience to try to help other women experiencing a difficult pregnancies and to slash the stigma around prenatal conditions. Ms Higgins's personal update on Instagram came with a carousel of pictures including an ultrasound of the baby boy, a snap of her pets and a smiling cameo from her husband David Sharaz.
Her Instagram post to 67.4 k followers received messages of support from other women who commended the new mum for speaking out about her struggles with many wishing her a stress-free trimester for the rest of the pregnancy.
