The world of professional wrestling is coming to Empower Field at Mile High.
A quartet of luchadores — Místico, Atlantis Jr., Templario and Volador Jr. — will square off in a pregame exhibition during the Broncos’ home game against the Packers on Oct. 22. In addition, Denver’s Miles the Mascot and “five of his friends” will have an exhibition match on Sept. 8 at Arena Mexico in Mexico City.
The announcement comes amid CMLL’s 90th anniversary celebration. Colorado artist Armando Silva is designing a limited edition T-shirt that will be available for purchase in October at the Broncos team stores as well as Dicass Sports stores in Mexico City. This isn’t the first time the Broncos and the world of pro wrestling have crossed paths. Former Broncos linemen Wahoo McDaniel and Darren Drozdov spent time in the squared circle as pro wrestlers.
