The soap schedules can be intense at the best of times...

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has opened up about why she isn’t returning to the ITV soap just yet.

Brooke – who played Sophie Webster from 2004 – has two children and left the cobbles in 2019 to have her first child, Mexx. It’s well known the world of soaps involves intense filming schedules and for Brooke, that plays into her reason why she hasn’t returned to return to Weatherfield. ‘The boys need me at the minute, I haven’t got the commitment in me to say to Corrie “let me come back”’, the actress told‘Corrie was and is very full-on when you’re busy and it makes me laugh because I know everyone has kids, but I’m like: “I’ve got kids so I can’t come at that time. I’ve got kids”.’

Brooke continued, explaining to Vicky how juggling Corrie and appearing on other shows such as Dancing on Ice altered her focus when it came to her busy schedule.
