The undefeated San Francisco 49ers will head to Cleveland and try to continue their five-game winning streak with an offense that’s rolling and one of the best defenses in the league.Here are a few storylines to know ahead of the Week 6 matchup, as well as predictions on how I think each will go:and P.J. Walker will get the start for Cleveland, but Watson’s status is undeniably the story of the game.
Walker will maybe have a bit more success moving the ball than Thompson-Robinson given that he has seven career starts under his belt -- but that probably won’t mean much against a 49ers defense that is giving up an average of 266.8 yards per game, third best in the NFL. They are only allowing 64.2 rushing yards per game.
The two have faced off eight times in either head coach or coordinator roles, and Schwartz defenses have so far bested Shanahan offenses 7-1. The last time Shanahan beat a Schwartz system was in 2008, when the former was the OC for the Houston Texans and Schwartz was the DC for the Tennessee Titans. Christian McCaffrey is as tough of an assignment as this defense has faced, and George Kittle is coming off of a career performance.
