Tallulah Willis, the 29-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis, writes about her father's dementia diagnosis in an emotional essay for Vogue: “My dad was quietly struggling.”

“Though this couldn’t have been further from the truth, my adolescent brain tortured itself with some faulty math: I’m not beautiful enough for my mother, I’m not interesting enough for my father,” Tallulah Willis wrote, also touching on her own issues with body dysmorphia and a borderline personality disorder diagnosis.She shared that in recent years she was in denial about her father’s health declining due to her own health issues, which also included anorexia nervosa and an ADHD diagnosis.
Now in her own recovery, Willis said that she has the tools to be present in her life “and especially in my relationship with my dad.” “I find that I’m trying to document, to build a record for the day when he isn’t there to remind me of him and of us,” she shared.
