An award-winning cartoon is seemingly jumping on the bandwagon by appearing to slam Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who have dominated the headlines in recent months.
Kyle is in the school cafeteria with his friend Kenny and Stan, the latter who questioned why he was getting worked up about the royals who were coming into their town.Several fans of the popular show praised the creators in the comment section for writing the episode, suggesting it reflected how society felt about Harry and Meghan.
"Thank you South Park for making this episode. It's exactly how we feel about them. They appear everywhere and we just want them to disappear," one person wrote."This season is off to a great start. Hope it keeps up," a third commented. South Park is known to tackle topical subjects throughout its 26 years on television, such as religion, climate change and smoking bans to name a few.
It also focused on stories involving famous faces, including American rapper Kanye West's anti-Semitic comments about the Jewish community, Tiger Woods and his affairs, and other cult television shows such as Game of Thrones. The creators in 2011 used a fake Canadian Royal Family as a reference to the British royals in an episode which parodies the wedding of Prince William and Princess Kate.
