The chief executive of the infant formula group says US and China sales have jumped from unexpected events, including a call with Joe Biden.

“It was very much a case of right place and right time,” she said on Friday. She was speaking from Columbus in the United States as a fresh delivery of formula was about to arrive. She said Mr Liu’s optimistic tone and happy dances on the Chinese equivalent of TikTok had proved extremely popular. “He really represents the modern family,” she said.and this is flowing through into profits.
