But owner Abbas Dhanani, an observant Muslim, said he wanted to create something “fun and tasty” for others of the Islamic faith who fast for Ramadan during daylight hours.

From now through the end of Ramadan, April, 20, the restaurant at 4520 Washington, will offer two limited-time specials: cheeseburger samosas and a rose sharbat shake. The items will be offered post-sundown from 7 p.m. until closing.Ramadan is one of the most sacred times for Muslims who observe a strict daily fast from dawn until sunset.
