7NEWS: ‘Burglar’ scarred in machete strike by an accomplice during Wanneroo home invasion, police allege
on Civic Dr in Wanneroo about 12.20am on Monday.
“During the altercation, one of the offenders — armed with the machete — attempted to strike one of the occupants, however, the second offender was hit instead causing a deep laceration to his head,” police said in a statement.The 37-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of the friendly-fire wound and remains in police custody after being charged with aggravated home burglary with intent and assault with intent to prevent arrest.
