Only West Ham United, Manchester United, Leeds United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur supporter bases have had more footballed related arrests
Burnley FC are mong the worst offending fanbases for football related arrests, data has revealed. It comes as West Ham United takes the unwanted top spot on the rankings.
A total of 27 arrests were for public disorder, while another 23 were for throwing missiles. That’s by far the highest number of arrests for throwing missiles. That’s up from 2,198 the season before. It’s also the highest number since the 2013/14 season when there were 2,273. Incidents of hate crime fell at football matches last season. A total of 370 hate crimes were reported to police, down from 384 the season before.
