A crime scene has been declared after a house on the Sunshine Coast where a teenager was allegedly tortured was engulfed in flames.
Footage of the incident and social media posts that appeared to show girls boasting about the attack sparked a wave of public outrage and a spate of vandalism attacks at the property. Mansfield said the house was destroyed and barbecue gas bottles and hot water systems were always a hazard with a house fire.Mansfield said police had been conducting regular patrols of the street since the alleged torture.
