Nine reported that an off-duty paramedic was the first on the scene. Conditions on the road were foggy at the time, with visibility reduced to about 100 metres.A large-scale emergency operation has begun and Wine Country Drive has been closed in both directions between the New England Highway and the Bridge Street roundabout at Huntlee.
Audio from one of the first responders on the scene captured the frantic moments after the bus crashed.“Major incident declared, we have a bus rollover, multiple patients,” said the NSW Ambulance inspector. “My thoughts are obviously with the people involved in the accident, but their family and friends, as well as the first responders on scene because it must have been truly horrible for them as well.
