NSW Health has instructed all passengers on a Sydney bus last weekend to self-isolate as NSW Labor renews its call for mandatory masks on public transport and the state recorded five new cases of COVID-19.
Transport Minister Andrew Constance said last week that mask use on the public transport network was in decline as complacency crept across the city. NSW Health is also advising that anyone who was at Lakemba Radiology from midday to 2.30pm on October 1 is considered a casual contact of a case and should monitor for symptoms.
The state recorded 12 consecutive days without new cases of community transmission before a spate of local casesNSW Health authorities are urging people to continue getting tested if they have even the mildest of symptoms. "We continue to work with industry and with health to find a right balance which keeps people in work but keeps people safe."
