The Royal Australian Mint releases a 'particularly beautiful' new $2 coin, marking 200 years since the honey bee was first introduced into the country.
In this coin's case, the Mint worked with the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council on both the concept and the execution."And then we go through the process of actually designing something that looks beautiful, that we can manufacture here, that would attract people's attention and is of interest."
"A lot of them describe what they see in their change, but certainly a number of people go out of their way to collect a particular theme or a particular type of coin," he said. "So it's quite a quite a big industry, and that honey goes all over the world. So it's good to commemorate something like this."
