The junction at The Cutts has seen multiple crashes over the years
Local representatives have called on the Department for Infrastructure to "reconsider its decision not to facilitate a site meeting" at a junction known for crashes.
The West Belfast MLA said: "I have again written to the Department of Infrastructure on the Cutts Junction and efforts to secure the necessary funding to upgrade it."It is disappointing they have not committed to a further onsite meeting, particularly as there has been a number of road accidents at this dangerous junction over recent months
"I will continue to urge the Department to ensure this junction is upgraded to make it safer for drivers and help prevent collisions." Previously, a spokesperson for the DFI told Belfast Live that it is "aware of the public concern about right turn facilities at the intersection of McKinstry Road and The Cutts".
