Nationals Leader David Littleproud has declared the government “needs to be more vigilant” to prevent an ISIS -style attack on Australian soil, as former home affairs chief Mike Pezzullo warns terror groups will look to exploit anger over Palestine.
The call comes after American-born man Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, mowed down dozens of people in New Orleans in aHe had allegedly boasted about joining ISIS, with US President Joe Biden saying social media videos indicated Jabbar was inspired by the Islamic State as a flag of the terrorist group was found in the back of the car he used for the attack.
