A new framework could see aged care workers who are close contacts of COVID-19 cases return to work without having to isolate.
The framework – approved by Chief Medical Officer, Paul Kelly – recommends aged care facilities return workers who are close contacts to work, when staff shortages have “high impact” on services.
The policy is similar to that announced on Friday for New South Wales healthcare staff who are identified as close contacts.Under the framework, aged care workers would return to facilities, although close contacts must still self-isolate when not at work.Read More
