Daniel Rooney's new single Old Ways will be released this Friday on all streaming platforms, weeks on from his big Take That break.
The Cambuslang singer who was drafted in to open for Take That at the OVO Hydro has had his dream come true – as he prepares to release his first single on the back of that momentous night.

A few weeks ago, I was doing covers in bars and working on tunes with my mates, hoping to get some out one day.
“We are just buzzing for everyone to hear it. There are some exciting projects on the horizon and I can’t wait to get started.” Speaking to the Daily Record, he said: “The attention is the bit I’m not used to. I come from a small family and I’m an only child so I’m definitely not used to all the attention I was getting.
"And of course to have a headline Glasgow show maybe like a King Tuts – properly iconic. It’s always been a dream to play my own headline show. I’ve never really done it before. I’ve played support slots and things like that.
