Stephen McCracken, who ran over a police officer near Cooma while high on methamphetamines, pleads guilty to the offence in Queanbeyan Local Court.
A Canberra man who ran over a police officer while high on methamphetamines has pleaded guilty to the offence in Queanbeyan Local Court.
When police exited the car to arrest the co-accused, officers said he jumped into McCracken's car, before McCracken drove his vehicle into one of the two arresting officers, Senior Constable Jason Farrell. Police said Senior Constable Farrell was left bleeding from the head, was unresponsive and unconscious and was airlifted to the Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
"Everyone at Monaro PD is extremely happy and proud to see the return of Jason to Cooma Police station," the post said.
