CanTeen has released a blueprint to transform treatments and improve survival rates for young people, as the cancer charity raises concerns Australia is lagging behind in clinical trials.
The 'Adolescents and Young Adults Vision 2033' is a ten-year plan designed to help young people access lifesaving treatments.
"Young people often aren't aware of the clinical trials that are available to them," CanTeen General Manager of Services Sandy Cham said. Joey Lynch, who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008, has been working with CanTeen on its 'Adolescents and Young Adults Vision 2033'.
