The late Captain Sir Tom Moore is now getting his own biopic.
– from his childhood in Yorkshire to his time serving in World War II, to his unexpected rise to fame – is going to be documented in a biopic.Queen Elizabeth II knighted Sir Tom at Windsor Castle on July 17, 2020 Writers Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard – who wrote Fisherman’s Friends – are said to have already scripted the film but are yet to have a title.
James Scott from Circus Studios – who are financing the project – said: ‘Captain Tom’s story struck a chord not just in the UK, but in over 160 countries. His life, his achievements, and his legacy will entertain, move, and inspire cinema audiences the world over.’ Murals of the World War II veteran cropped up throughout the country following his death, including this one in Manchester He was single until his late 40s and had ‘almost given up on love’ until he met late wife Pamela while working as a salesman.
