Rap phenom Cardi B speaks publicly for the first time about a sexual assault she says happened during a photoshoot while she was still an unknown in the rap game.
Speaking to radio icon Angie Martinez for her new show, "Untold Stories of Hip-Hop," Cardi said on Thursday's premiere that the man actually exposed himself during the shoot."The photographer, he was like trying to get close to me," she said, adding that then he exposed himself."I was so f------ mad," she continued.
The reason she brought the incident up was that with movements like #MeToo, she wants to make sure"girls from the hood" get the same kind of support and publicity.She became the first solo woman to win best rap album at the 2019 Grammy Awards, is enjoying life with baby Kulture and started a fashion line earlier this year."It is hard, you know?" Cardi B told"GMA" earlier this year of balancing work and motherhood."It's like certain things I just miss.
