Battle of the Birds: Cardinals know they'll need a better start to be able fly with the Eagles on Sunday at State Farm Stadium.
If the Cardinals once again get off to a slow start offensively Sunday when they host the Eagles, and Philadelphia does what it’s been doing in the first half of games so far this season, it won’t be a pretty sight at State Farm Stadium.
It’s been that way for most teams that have faced the Eagles this season. They’re a top 10 team in almost every major offensive and defensive category and so far, clearly look like one of the top contenders to make it to Super Bowl 57 in Glendale come February. “We’ve got it all. We can be up and win a game. Or we can come back from behind. … When I look at my Birds, and I’m not being biased I’m just being honest, when I look at the whole team, we have it together.”
“Yeah, they’re 4-0 for a reason,” he said. “They’ve had a lot of leads in a lot of games. I think they’ve been ahead in 67 percent of their games or some crazy stat like that. They’ve got a lot of talent on that team. You see it on the O-line and D-line, the skill position guys. … They’re extremely well-coached. It’s going to be a good fight for us. I’m excited about it.”
“ Hargrave is a stud. That D-line is the key to our success, trying to nullify them. It’s a lot easier said than done, but we’ve got a great scheme going into the game and we’ve got some good O-linemen as well, so I’m excited to see them go.” On the surface, it looks like a monumental task, unless the Eagles allow themselves to look ahead to next week’s NFC East showdown with the Cowboys.
