Angel Rodriguez Leon pleaded guilty to selling pills that led to the December 2020 death of Yosef 'Joey' Alajlouni.
Alajlouni, a 21-year-old business management major, was found dead by his girlfriend in his Shippensburg Township apartment on Dec. 19, 2020. Autopsy results showed that he had died of fentanyl poisoning attributed to pills that a Pennsylvania State Police investigation traced back to a buy he had made with Angel Rodriguez Leon the day before.
Police were able to identify Rodriguez Leon through Snapchat messages he had exchanged with Alajlouni, who was a 2017 graduate of Big Spring High School. Rodriguez Leon was arrested in August 2021, and pleaded guilty to single counts of illegal drug trafficking and involuntary manslaughter last month.
