Carlton coach Michael Voss has turned into a local hero after performing a citizen’s arrest following a car crash in Hawthorn. Voss was waiting for a coffee at Barton Milk Bar cafe when a stolen car flipped onto the footpath nearby. Two people emerged from the car and tried to flee on foot when Voss chased them down. He then performed a citizen’s arrest before police arrived. Voss spoke with police after the incident. Police confirmed a teenage boy was arrested, but another is on the loose.
“Police arrived shortly after and took the 16-year-old Mooroopna boy into custody. “Police continue to search for the second male offender, who is described as having a fair complexion, long blonde hair and wearing a black cap, black and white scarf, black hoodie and black pants.” A witness contacted 3AW’s Jacqui Felgate, who then shared the details on her Instagram page. “Wanted to give Michael Voss a huge shout out this morning.
