Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement from the game of basketball on Monday morning. Anthony shared his retirement message across his social media channels.
Anthony was a 10-time All-Star, was named All-NBA six times and was part of the NBA's 75th Anniversary team. Anthony played for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers. For his 19-year career, Anthony finished with averages of 22.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Anthony appeared in 1260 regular season games and an additional 83 playoff games.
