Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled further trips and will sell two of its ships as it continues to navigate the travel slowdown brought on by the global coronavirus pandemic. 9News

USA TodayThe cancellations impact the Carnival Magic from Miami until March 13, 2021; the Carnival Paradise from Tampa until March 19; the Carnival Valor from New Orleans until April 29 and the Carnival Spirit from Brisbane.The company said Carnival Spirit itineraries from Brisbane are cancelled through May 16 with the first voyage will be Singapore to Brisbane on June 12, 2021.

"As we continue to work through issues related to our eventual return to operations, we are committed to providing our guests and travel agent partners with certainty where we can, although we regret disappointing our guests," Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said in a release. As well as cancelling trips, Carnival Cruise Line plans to sell the Carnival Fascination and the Carnival Imagination. Both vessels were launched in the early to mid-1990s.
