Carol said she has a very full life

The former Countdown presenter has previously spoken about lacking a conventional romantic relationship in her life. Instead, she says she has a number of people she is close to.

Speaking to Kathy Burke, on her podcast Where There's A Will, There's A Wake, Carol has said she is "living without apology".When asked by Kathy how many "lovers" she has, Carol said: "I don't like to say really", before adding: "Enough, I've got enough". Carol continued: "I've been married, very happily married, and then suddenly it wasn’t, and we had two lovely children and all of that. But I don't want to be in a relationship because I love my life.

"And I love my mates and you know, my son and I live together and I don't have time for it. I only have time for the nice bits. If you do no harm, you can do what the hell you like. Without apology I say." Carol has previously said she has had the "special friends system" in place for more than a decade. She told Michelle Visage on Rule Breakers: "One's 11 years, one's seven years, you know everyone is single.
