Two of these pioneering trans woman, now octogenarians, are interviewed for the film, recalling the rustic retreat’s crucial role in their journey to self-realization. The doc’s other two subjects, now entering their 70s, were children at the time, with family ties to the uncommon New York bungalow colony.
