Castleford Tigers' ground will be transformed as part of plans to develop parts of the town.
Image caption,Meanwhile, Axiom Yorkshire, owners of a site at Junction 32 of the M62 in Castleford, said the local community was "very supportive" of its plans for a development of up to 141,085 sq m of employment floorspace, across around 13 units of varying sizes.
"On top of the much-needed improvements for the Castleford Tigers stadium, if approved, the Axiom proposals will deliver around 2,200 jobs," the statement added. As Castleford Tigers edge closer to 100 years on their Wheldon Road home, submission of planning permission to overhaul a significant chunk of the site - as part of wider Axiom plans - couldn't be more essential.
They either move with the times, and there is some catching up to do on that basis, or be left behind.
