For months, Huntsville Animal Shelter had been swamped with cats. In November, the shelter stopped accepting cats, waived adoption fees for adults and cut costs for kittens. “It worked out beautifully,” Animal Services Director Karen Sheppard said. 😻:

The agency also began urging Huntsville residents to adopt the cats. It waived adoption fees for adult cats. It reduced the cost of adoption fees for kittens.
