As the Lenten season begins and many abstain from meat on Fridays, the Knights of Columbus Hall in Arlington Heights will again be a popular locale for its weekly fish fry starting Friday night.
Holy Rosary Council #4483 -- composed of members of St. James, Our Lady of the Wayside and St. Edna parishes in Arlington Heights and St. Colette in Rolling Meadows -- hosts the weekly all-you-can eat, buffet-style meal on six consecutive Fridays, Feb. 24 through March 31.
The fish fry is from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the KC Hall, 15 N. Hickory Ave., just east of downtown Arlington Heights. Dinner includes fried cod, tater rounds, coleslaw, mostaccioli with marinara sauce, cornbread muffins, coffee, tea and dessert. A full cash bar is available, and refills on soda are free.
Prices are $15 for adults, $8 for children ages 5-12, and $14 for carryout. Credit and debit cards are accepted. Sam Marsillo, one of the Knights and fish fry organizers, said proceeds will benefit the parish youth ministries and Special Olympics.
