Compass has had to cut its costs but, at the same time, it is benefitting from other companies looking to outsourcing as a way of cutting their own costs.
Compass says its profits have almost tripled during the past year in a recovery that has surpassed expectations.
Statutory pre-tax profits were £1.5bn in the year to 30 September, up from £545m a year earlier, while revenues surged by 42.5% to £25.5bn for the year. "The strong growth trends seen in the first half have continued, with net new business accelerating through the year in all our regions."
