CAVE CREEK RESIDENTS: Officials are asking residents to conserve water until repairs can be made to a damaged town water pipeline connected to the Central Arizona Project.
Town officials say the water was pumping at a reduced rate of flow to the water treatment plant.
The reduced flow rate was because of a storm surge that damaged a pump on the town's Central Arizona Project water pipeline. Residents were asked to avoid washing clothes and dishes, shut off irrigation, avoid filling pools, and any other water usage. The town says the conservation was needed until repairs could be made and water reservoirs could be brought back to safe levels.
