Police want to speak with the man pictured

A fight broke out between two groups of men in the Springfield Street and Albert Road areas last weekend and left a man in his 30s injured. That man was found by police hurt and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and is not believed to have been seriously injured. Lancashire Constabulary has now released CCTV image of a man officers want to speak with in connection with the incident.A spokesperson said: “Can you help us identify this man? We want to speak to him in connection with an affray investigation in Morecambe. “Around 6pm on July 24, police received a report of a number of men fighting in the Springfield Street and Albert Road areas.

“A man in his 30s suffered head injuries and was later taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary for treatment. Following CCTV enquiries, we want to speak to this man, pictured, as part of the investigation. Police are also appealing for witnesses and would urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward. Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting log 1106 of July 24.
