Chorley Police have released images of a man they want in connection with a robbery of the William Hill bookies on Pall Mall
Officers said a lone female staff member working at William Hill bookmakers in Chorley was approached by the man in the shop on Pall Mall before 'pushing her into a kitchen area and stealing money from a safe'. The incident happened at around 9.20pm on Thursday and the offender made off with a 'significant quantity of cash'
"We were called at 9.20pm after a man who had been in the shop on Pall Mall walked up to the lone female staff member before pushing her into a kitchen area and stealing money from a safe. The man made off with a significant quantity of cash. Det Sgt Gem Lashley, of South CID, said: This must have been an extremely traumatic ordeal for the staff member, and it is lucky she wasn’t hurt.
