The council says a new system will reduce the risk of theft and vandalism.
The CCTV system covering Nottingham's cycle parks needs "urgent replacement" to reduce the risk of theft and vandalism. Suppliers are being asked to come forward to work on the installation of a new network for the 20 parks operational in Nottingham.
Nottingham City Council now says it will replace the CCTV covering these parks, which are based at locations including Nottingham City Hospital, the Ken Martin Leisure Centre and Central Avenue in West Bridgford. Describing the need for new investment, the city council says in a report published on Friday : "After 10 years of usage, the current access control/CCTV system is coming to the end of its usable life and requires urgent replacement.
