Police have been ordered to reinvestigate allegations they used unreasonable force against kids during a shopping centre scuffle.

CCTV of a shopping centre brawl involving kids as young as 12 has sparked a fresh investigation into police handling of the incident.

CCTV footage of the incident obtained by the ABC shows a verbal argument between two women and a number of children, that turned physical.As the situation escalated, one officer pepper sprayed and separated the two women, while a second police officer grabbed children aged between 12 and 15 and hurled them to the ground.

Michelle also complained to the NSW South Coast Police District that the same officer had told a bystander to "F***ing mind your own business", when the man approached him to raise concerns about how the children were being handled at the shopping centre. "Too often police end up investigating themselves over allegations of things like misconduct or excessive force against Aboriginal people.
