Illawarra man Antonio Spano, 57, suffered serious head and chest injuries after he was struck at about 8.55pm at the intersection of Daisy Street and Princes Highway, Fairy Meadow.
As inquiries continue, police have released new CCTV footage of a vehicle they are seeking to identify to assist with their inquiries.Anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or information who hasn't spoken to police, is urged to come forward and contact Wollongong Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
This has done so much damage to our family unit and we are pleading for the person responsible or anyone who knows anything to come forward to give our family some answers or what happened to our beloved brother, son, nephew and dad."
