Police investigating the death of a Canadian woman in Sydney's west have released CCTV of what they allege is a phone being thrown from her unit moments after a call to triple-0 ended abruptly.Police found her body inside her Liverpool unitNSW Police on Tuesday released the footage as they continue to investigate the death of 34-year-old Tatiana Dokhotaru.
Detectives today released CCTV footage of a phone being thrown out of a window which matches the location of Ms Dokhotaru's unit shortly before midnight on May 26. "It's really important … we believe there will be evidence on that phone that would be vital to the investigation," he said.Detective Superintendent Doherty said the phone was thrown from the unit moments after Ms Dokhotaru called triple-0 and investigating officers considered it to be a "key part of the puzzle".Detectives last week flew to Canada to meet with Ms Dokhotaru's family to gather further information about her life and associates in Australia.
