Families across Australia will not be diving into boxes of Celebrations this Christmas , with the chocolate treats pulled from shelves. The Mars-branded confectionary product has been discontinued in Australia , with cost and supply challenges to blame. “Our Celebrations products are imported from Europe and, like many Australia n businesses importing products from overseas, we’re experiencing rising cost pressures and supply challenges,” a Mars spokesman told 2GB.
An online search of the treats at Coles and Woolworths shows they are “out of stock” or “currently unavailable”. Mars is “currently reviewing options” and hopes the product can be reintroduced in Australia in 2025. Popular food reviewer Russ Eats, who ranked Celebrations as the best Christmas chocolate, flagged something was wrong on Wednesday when he was tipped off by an “insider” that the product was being discontinued “at least for this Christmas”.
