The campaign, which has already raised A$8.6 million to help feed people struggling in the US, will see some huge prizes given out to donors, who can either enter into a raffle-style prize draw or bid on select auction items.Killers of the Flower Moon,Actor Matthew McConaughey will let one winner join him in his private box for an NFL game and singer Justin Bieber has offered to travel to a winner's house and sing them one of his hit songs.
The challenge was announced by NBA co-owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, Michael Rubin, who said the celebrities had a"responsibility" to step up and help others less fortunate. "I’m challenging every athlete, sports team owner, sports league, artist, celebrity and business titan to go all in with me," Mr Rubin said on Instagram.
"It can't be just some run-of-the-mill item – to go all in, you need to give away one of your most cherished possessions or create a once-in-a-lifetime fan experience that will be auctioned off."
