Celebrity Bake Off's Rev Richard Coles asked Phillip Schofield out on 'date'

This Morning's former host Phillip Schofield was left stunned when he was asked out on a 'date' by Strictly Come Dancing star Reverend Richard Coles during a live radio interview

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who is also a vicar, didn't hold back when he invited Phillip for some company during an interview on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Morning Live.

Caught off guard by the unexpected invite, Phillip, also now 62, responded with a laugh: "Are you asking me out?" In a statement made to MailOnline, Phillip said that he met the man in question "when he was a teenager", and wanted help to get onto television.
