The winger can play in the Asian Champions League but is not included in Al Ittihad's Saudi Pro League squad.
It may have been a tough time for Jota since his switch to Saudi Arabia, but there was a familiar sight in the stands as the winger made his first appearance in two months.
And there was the comforting sight of the Celtic hoops in the stand when he did. One fan made the journey to Saudi to show his support for the Treble winning hero and posed for a social media snap just before kick-off. There have been no fireworks from the wide man however, with the sides locked at 0-0 with just under 10 minutes to go.
