Our team discuss whether Steve Clarke is still the man for Scotland and look at the summer transfer priorities.
The dust has settled on Scotland’s Euro disappointment. Steve Clarke had come in for criticism. Is he the man to take the country forward? CRAIG SWAN: Yes, but there has to be an acknowledgement that mistakes were made in Germany and those errors rectified.
SCOTT BURNS: I still believe he can take the club forward but he has to learn from the mistakes. He needs to start rebuilding for the future and long-term. If he continues as he has then we have to look change because we will start to regress. FRASER: They could go for a Martin Dubravka type signing that would follow in the mould of Joe Hart. But I’d love to see Angus Gunn make the step up to the Scottish Premiership and Champions League football. He’s a good age, can still get better and would potentially have a sell-on value too.
FRASER: Tavernier’s numbers in terms of goals and assists would be so difficult to replace for Rangers which makes me think yes. SCOTT: We are probably at a stage where it would be in Tavernier’s best interests to move on. He gets some amount of stick but if he is to remain then his goals and assists would continue to be big for Rangers.
